Matt is a theologian with proficiency in contemporary analytic philosophy. He holds a PhD in Theology from the University of Otago, a Masters (with First Class Honours) and a Bachelors in Philosophy from the University of Waikato; he also holds a post-graduate diploma in secondary teaching from Bethlehem Tertiary Institute.

His area of expertise is Divine Command Meta-Ethics, Applied Ethics, Bio-Ethics, Old Testament Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Philosophy of Law, Critical Thinking and Apologetics. He has formally debated Dr Zoe During (formerly of the Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand), Dr Bill Cooke (then President of the New Zealand Association of Rationalist Humanists) and Dr Raymond Bradley (Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Auckland). Matt regularly participates in local and international conferences, panel discussions and public lectures.

Matt served as President of the University of Waikato Students Union in 1999 and has been involved in both the running and leadership of several campus groups and charitable Christian organisations.

Conor is an English teacher at EDENZ College. He has a Commerce Degree from Auckland University,  Post Grad Diploma (Theology) Laidlaw College and a TESOL Certificate. Previous to his teaching career he has been a self-employed businessman and owned numerous backpackers hostels. He is still passionate about business. Conor is an avid traveler and loves getting out and exploring the world. He speaks a bit of Spanish and loves learning about different cultures. He enjoys kayaking and the outdoors in his spare time.

Conor loves seeing his students progress and being able to encourage them to grow in confidence. He enjoys teaching English and finds it very rewarding. Conor is also involved in a number of outreaches with his church including one called the green room which was an outreach to the night clubbers on K road. He also started and led a Church in Ohakune for four years.



Sy is regarded as a gifted communicator, award winning talk show host, recording artist, and pastoral care specialist. He is a leading voice regarding sexuality, cultural themes and God’s character.

Married since 1982, Sy and his family have lived in Singapore, New Zealand and the USA. Sy is currently based in Auckland New Zealand, but his ministry continues globally.
